The Lombardy Tri-Church Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
will take place Tues., Feb. 21st from 4pm to 7pm at the
Lombardy Agricultural Hall. A free will offering will be
taken. Proceeds from this year's event will go towards our
local food banks and Together Smiths Falls. For fantastic
pancakes and sausages this is the place to be. You won't be
disappointed!!!
There will be a TURKEY DINNER held on February 29th
from 5:30PM to 6:30PM at the K of C Hall (18 William St.
W.). The cost is $12.00 for adults and includes a draw for
the $50.00 DOOR PRIZE. Children under the age of 10 are
admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Coming in Lent: CATHOLICISM SERIES
Fr. Robert Barron created this ground-breaking program as a
thematic presentation of what Catholics believe and why, so
all adults can come to a deeper understanding of the Catholic
Faith. This engaging and interesting formational program
uses the art, architecture, literature, music and all the
treasures of the Catholic tradition to illuminate the timeless
teachings of the Church. This will take place in lower
Hanley Hall on February 28 and March 6, 13, 20 and 27. The
topic for each episode will be given in the Bulletin prior to
the respective Tuesday. The evening will begin with coffee
etc. at 6:30 PM. Promptly at 7:00 PM the session will begin
with a short prayer, followed by the video. There will not be
any formal discussion afterward, so it should all be over by
8:00 PM.
